Blackweir is a brand new series of shows heading to Blackweir Fields in Summer 2025 programmed by Cuffe & Taylor and DEPOT Live. Cardiff is a hub for live entertainment throughout the year with so many global stars heading to venues of all sizes across the city. Blackweir Fields is the perfect location for a brand new outdoor greenfield concert series with a potential capacity of up to 35,000 people, located perfectly central within the city just a short walk from the iconic Cardiff Castle & in very short proximity of Cardiff University.

Kings of Leon will return to Cardiff for the first time in 18 years to headline brand-new music series Blackweir.

Hot on the heels of the launch of the new series of outdoor live music events for summer 2025 it is revealed today that the GRAMMY award-winning, multi-platinum alternative rock band will headline on Sunday June 29 – their first show in South Wales since 2014 and their first in Cardiff since 2007.

Kings of Leon will be joined by special guests Courteeners.
