Jay Phelps: Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue

Following sell out performances across the UK, Jay Phelps has assembled a line-up of some of the country’s leading jazz musicians to mark the centenary of the world’s most influential jazz artist, Miles Davis. Phelps brings together the best of Davis’ music from the years which produced the album ‘1958 Miles’ and the best-selling jazz album of all time, ‘Kind of Blue’ which featured the iconic line-up of musicians: Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb. These albums defined a ground-breaking new approach to the art of improvisation.
