Cowbridge Pupil Amongst Winners Of Road Safety Wales Poster Competition.
Winners for the Road Safety Wales poster competition have been announced, with a Cowbridge student being one of five winners.
Emily Rideout, who attends Cowbridge Comprehensive, took part in the competition, designing a poster that highlighted the new 20mph speed limit within the village.
With each poster being judged on originality, creativity, impact and the message being portrayed, young people below 18 were ‘invited to design a poster that would promote the safe use of active travel, the benefits of 20mph speed limits on communities or to encourage safer driver behaviour across Wales.’
Emily entered the competition whilst she was attending St Brides Major CIW Primary and will receive a cheque for £50 from Road Safety Wales.
Taking to their website, Road Safety Wales said: “We are delighted to announce the winners of the recent Road Safety Wales Poster Competition! We received an amazing response to the competition this year so thank you to everyone that entered and congratulations to our winners!”
