Welsh trumpeter Tomos Williams brings his band 7Steps to the Dora Stoutzker Hall for the first time. Presenting with vigour and passion an array of tracks from the vast catalogue of the towering figure of 20th Century music, Miles Davies, the quintet features Cardiff jazz stalwarts and Royal Welsh College alumni Joe Northwood on tenor sax and Aidan Thorne on bass, as well as Dave Jones on piano and young drum sensation Matt Holmes.

Tomos Williams is a leading and unique voice on the Welsh jazz scene. Heavily indebted and influenced by Miles’ music, 7Steps is a natural project for Tomos to front. He also leads the jazz/folk sextet, Burum, an Indo-Welsh fusion band Khamira and his on-going Cwmwl Tystion project.
