This walk is an example of a Valeways Self-Guided walk in the central northern area of the Vale of Glamorgan, it has a choice of 3 , 3.5 and 7 mile alternatives, this will take the seven mile, predominately flat route including crossing and recrossing the M4 with a short visit into Rhondda Cynon Taff.We are meeting in a layby between Ystradowen and Talygarn, a short walk leads us to Talygarn House where we will pick up the route. After passing the attractive lake we will walk through Hensol Forest then arriving at the village of Ystodowen. Turning north we will cross farmland to find a bridge across the M4 to Llanharry and returning over a footbridge to the west of Brynsadler
