Their shop at Taffs Well will continue as will their online website – but cheese lovers of Pontcanna and neighbouring areas – they are also opening a new location at Victoria Park, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them. As a returning cheese addict, I personally can’t wait to visit!

Hey Tom, how’s it going? How are you feeling about opening the new location?

We’re really excited to be opening in Victoria Park. It’s a lovely area and a brilliant little community of fantastic food businesses, so we can’t wait to be part of it. We’re having a lot of fun designing and fitting out the store, to make it the perfect place to showcase the 80 or so Welsh cheeses that we already sell online and in our Taffs Well shop.

When will you guys be open? I know our readers will be excited to see you.

The new shop will be opening in September! I can’t be more precise than that at the moment as it depends on quite a few moving parts, but it will probably be in the middle of the month.

What can customers expect from the new venture?

By day, we’ll be a chessemonger and deli, stocking an unrivalled range of Welsh cheeses from 20 different cheesemakers, as well as crackers, chutneys, wine, chocolate and all sorts of other delicious things! In the evenings, we’ll turn into a cosy cheese and wine bar, serving expertly curated Welsh cheese and charcuterie boards, alongside superb wines.
