A Packed Calendar of Events at Penarth Pier Pavilion This Season

One of the biggest draws of Penarth Pier Pavilion is the variety of events and activities that take place throughout the year. If you’re a fun of theatre, the Pavilion also organises outdoor theatre events at the Kymin Gardens over the summer. This year’s productions will be the timeless classic Pride & Prejudice (27 July, 7pm) and the Shakespearean masterpiece Twelfth Night (25 August, 7pm), these outdoor performances are sure to be a highlight of the season.
For art lovers, the Pavilion’s main gallery space hosts monthly painting and photography exhibitions showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists. There’s always something new and exciting to discover. Of course, no trip to Penarth Pier pavilion would be complete without a visit to the café for a selection of food, drinks, and cakes. But that’s not all- if you’re in the mood for a movie, then Snowcat Cinema is the place to be every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
This year also sees the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama start a residency at the Pavilion, with a range of events from children’s music sessions to chamber music and big band concerts. As the jewel is the crown of Penarth, the venue has been under the new management of the Vale of Glamorgan Council since 2021, under the experienced stewardship of Pavilion Manager Karen Davies.
