Following a successful bid to the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Willmore’s 1938 is proud to announce that George, their much-loved Renault takeaway van, will soon take pride of place at the iconic bandstand in Alexandra Park.

This marks an exciting new chapter for the Penarth-based café, allowing them to bring their signature hot and cold food, great coffee, and warm hospitality to the heart of this historic park. Visitors can look forward to Willmore’s sandwiches, cakes and coffees – all served from George’s vintage French exterior.

“We’re so excited to bring George to Alexandra Park,” says owners Charlotte and Matt Holland. “It’s such a beautiful space where people come together – and we can’t wait to be part of that atmosphere, serving our local community and visitors alike.”

As part of their commitment to the Vale, Willmore’s 1938 also gives back 2.5% of all takings from George directly to community projects in the local area – helping support the park and people who make it so specials.
