Penarth is coming together in a powerful new way this weekend, and you are invited to be part of it. As part of the 2026 Penarth Year of Community Connections & Collaborations, the town’s very first Community Showcase event will open its doors at Penarth Pier Pavilion, bringing a wide range of local organisations, groups and civic partners under one roof.
This free event on Saturday, 21 February 2026, running from 10:00am to 3:00pm, offers residents and visitors the opportunity to discover:
- Who the local community groups are
- What they do
- How you can get involved
But it is more than a directory of stalls. It is a celebration of connection.
A town that collaborates
The showcase highlights how Penarth’s organisations are not working in isolation, but actively working on shared projects, activities and events, including many taking place throughout 2026. From environmental initiatives and cultural programming to heritage, wellbeing and civic action, this is about demonstrating the strength of partnership across the town.
Attendees will be able to meet the people who give their time, energy and expertise to make Penarth a truly community-focused place. It is also a chance to discover a new cause, club or campaign to support.

Several other community groups and organisations will be in attendance, with a full list of participants to be shared in updates on the Penarth Community Network Facebook page.
Departments from the Vale of Glamorgan Council will also be present, promoting their latest projects and activities for the town and speaking directly with residents about what is happening locally.
