Art Makes A Difference
The Art Life Society Presents ‘Necessity or Desire?’
At the Turner House Gallery, Penarth, 31st October – 17th November
‘…. an innovative and inspiring new exhibition opens in Penarth’
This exciting exhibition will not only display works of talented amateur and professional artists from across the region, but will also highlight the need for improved accessibility to the arts for those with mobility impairments.
The Art Life Society is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to encourage interest in and practice of the visual arts. It provides opportunities to exhibit and participate in art related activities and encourages accessibility for all. It is based in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Society has chosen to explore the theme of ‘Necessity or Desire?’ in the forthcoming exhibition. The artists will be investigating and illustrating conflicting or concordant aspects of the topic using a variety of mediums.
Turner House is a beautiful Grade 1 listed building. Its two stories are generally used for exhibitions, but, unfortunately, the upper level is not accessible to those with mobility impairments. In accordance with its constitution and strong beliefs, the Art Life Society exhibition will display all artwork on the accessible ground floor only.
