Logan will lead as Jack Frost in this year’s production, which is running throughout the whole of December at Sophia Gardens

Casting has now been announced for this year’s production of Jack Frost, coming to Sophia Gardens this December as part of Cardiff Christmas Festival.

After his debut in the Snow Queen at the Cardiff Christmas Festival 2024, the icon that is Bryn the Bear is back by popular demand for another year of silly fun and Christmas cheer. Although another famous bear also makes his stage return this year, Bryn is Wales’ alternative with many similar qualities. With an endearing charm and unwavering spirit, Bryn brilliantly captures the hearts of audiences…whilst also standing approximately 5 metres taller than his counterpart.

Starring alongside Logan Burrows, who is starring as Jack Frost in his first leading role as an adult performer, the pair will bring a heart-warming Christmas musical that’s bursting with joyous music, dazzling dance routines and laugh-out-loud moments to the centre of Cardiff this winter.

Logan Burrows, aged 19 from Vale of Glamorgan, has been performing since he was three, and certainly not one to shy of the stage. During his career, he’s performed with top West End stars on a number of productions, including: Priscilla Queen of the Desert with Jason Donovan; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Carrie Hope Fletcher and Lee Mead; Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen (with Welsh National Opera). Trained at the Royal Ballet Associates, he also choreographed the Wales amateur premier of Phantom of the Opera. Bursting with talent, Logan promises to bring all the magic and fun into his role as Jack Frost.

Joining Loga and Bryn on stage also includes a cast bursting with impeccable talent. Kate Powell, James Rockey, Mia Jae and Molly Mae Fisher will all star alongside both to bring the Christmas magic this winter.

Kate Powell’s theatre credits include, Sister Act The Musical UK Tour, Saturday Night Fever, The Snow Queen, Dick Whittington, Cinderella and Death By Fatal Murder. Kate has also appeared in various short films and has recorded a number of voiceovers, which include narration of the children’s book ‘Max and The Magic Wish’ on Audible.

James Rockey is a trained actor from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, and has starred in a number of theatre productions and TV shows throughout his career. This includes TV appearances in Slow Horses, Doctor Who and Galavant, and Peter Pan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Sweeney Todd on stage.

Mia Jae has starred in productions including Limbo, Dick Whittington, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and was lead vocalist in After Hours West End – The Lockdown Sessions. Mia has a BA in Musical Theatre from the University of Chichester Conservatoire, and will be playing Gwen in this year’s production.

Cardiff-born Molly Mae Fisher has starred in a number of productions, which include CBeebies Proms: A Magical Bedtime Story at the Royal Albert Hall, “Rewind” at the Basildon Towngate Theatre, “Cinderella”, “Beauty & The Beast” with Rainbow Valley Productions, and previously starred as Trish in “Bonnie & Clyde” at the Barking Theatre.
