Join Penarth’s independent bookshop Griffin Books for a very special ‘Summer Reads’ Party! To celebrate another great season of events, Mel Griffin will be joined by authors Laura Kemp, Evonne Wareham and Helga Jensen, who will introduce their latest books- all perfect for packing in your suitcase this summer. They’ll also be picking the brain of local travel coordinator Jo Baldwin and sharing some of their own staff recommendations for the ultimate summer read. You’ll have the opportunity to speak to the authors, buy books, and get them personally signed, all whilst drinking a complimentary glass of prosecco!

Laura Kemp writes funny, feel-good but real romantic fiction. A former local and national journalist, she lives in Penarth with her family and bases her books in Wales.

Helga Jensen, is an award-winning British/Danish author and journalist. Her debut novel was a winning entry in the 2017 Montegrappa First Fiction competition at Dubai’s Emirates Literary Festival.

Evonne Wareham is an award-winning local author of romantic suspense- more crime and dead bodies that your average romance. Born in Barry, she likes to set her books in Wales, or for a touch of glamorous escapism, in favourite holiday destinations in Europe.
