Cowbridge Music Festival another big success

This September, Cowbridge Music Festival hosted it’s 13th celebration. The programme, jam-packed with classic, jazz, folk and international music, was hosted in a range of local community spaces. The Cowbridge Music Festival aims to share the talents of local and international musicians, and created spaces where residents can enjoy great music. This year’s festival was also broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

Cowbridge Rotary Club celebrate great year

Cowbridge Rotary Club has hit a record for their fundraising target this year. Their previous aim was to do more fundraising and community work, locally, nationally and internationally. They have achieved this goal with flying colours, with their support for a variety of organisations and charities, from gardening, entertainment and working with local schools. In recognition of their efforts, they received the Rotary International Citation from International President Jennifer Jones.

Cowbridge restaurant earns a place in the Michelin Guide

Having opened less than a year ago, one of Cowbridge’s new pubs has earned a spot in the Michelin Guide. Hiraeth Kitchen has wowed locals and reviewers alike with their delicious menu. Back in May, they also received recognition from the AA and were placed in The Good Food Guide. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards winners

On Friday, 22 September, the Vale Resort hosted the annual Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards. Many great businesses were honoured at the event for their inspiring entrepreneurship and passion. Winners included Carrie Elspeth Jewellery (Creative Business of the Year), Sparkles Cleaning Services Wales (Employer of the Year), Soraya McDonnell of Soraya’s Cocktails and Desserts (Entrepreneur of the Year), Technical Marketing & PR (Financial and Professional Service Business of the Year), Greenbrick Group (Growth Business of the Year), Beloved Boutique (Retail Business of the Year), Lunia 3D (Start-up Business of the Year), South Wales Aviation Museum (Third Sector Organisation of the Year), Fonmon Castle (Tourism and Leisure Business of the Year) and Sean Mayor of Dog Adventure Land (Young Business Person of the Year).
