Concept Players Bring “Sunset Boulevard” to Penarth This Week

Following a successful run in Newport, Concept Players are bringing their production of Sunset
Boulevard to Penarth this week. The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will be performed at the Paget
Rooms in Penarth from February 27 to March 1, 2025.

The company has been commended for its polished productions, with audiences in Newport
responding positively to the staging, performances, and interpretation of this classic story. Sunset
Boulevard explores the world of a fading Hollywood star, Norma Desmond, and her relationship with
an ambitious screenwriter, Joe Gillis. This production aims to capture the atmosphere and drama of
the original while bringing its own perspective to the story. It features showstopping songs such as
“With One Look,” “The Perfect Year,” and “As If We Never Said Goodbye”.
