Here in Cardiff, unlike at Christmas Markets you may find in other cities, you can be assured that each and every wooden stall holds a talented craftsperson, selling original work. Bespoke silver jewellery, wooden turned gifts, artwork across all mediums, beautiful fused glass, hand thrown ceramics, handmade quilts and textiles, and traditional pewter gifts are just a few of the items generally on display.

Whilst returning exhibitors are always welcomed, none rest on their laurels. As their craft is also their business they are consistently creating new pieces of work, thus ensuring that the stalls always look fresh and innovative. While browsing, please feel free to ask stallholders about their work, the making process, and even discuss bespoke commissions if you wish.

Look out for new faces at the Taster Stalls, located in Trinity Street, where new artists and crafts people will be trying out the wares at the market. Alongside the traders you will be a festive selection of seasonal food and drink including, of course, warming mulled wine, combining to create a vibrant and cheerful Christmas atmosphere.

This year, trading times at the Christmas Market will be from 10:00 – 18:00 on Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00 – 17:00 on Sundays.
