We’re delighted to parter with Gŵyl Cymru Festival to present a new artwork by local artist Phil Morgan.

Commissioned as part of the festival, celebrating Cymru’s historic qualification for the World Cup, this powerful icon of respect and tolerance will be in place until the end of January 2023.

This year, the World Cup was hosted in Qatar, a nation where same sex relationships are criminalised. Phil’s work aims to offer a striking symbol in solidarity with LGBT+ communities both at home and away, with rainbow colours centred in the familiar hand-making-heard of Gareth Bale.

The artwork is park of a programme of events and activity at Chapter during the festival.
