What better way to kick off the return of Storytime than a special session with Penarth’s own Laura Baker?

Laura will be introducing the latest book in her ‘Monsters’ series, Monsters at School, reading some lovely stories and we’ll be getting crafty too.

Monsters at School: Fluffy monsters, scruffy monsters, monsters on their way. Rucksack monsters, turn-back monsters, off to school today! Children will love this super-fun title packed with hilarious monsters on their first day of school!

Follow the cheeky little monsters as they have lessons, go wild at playtime, eat a messy monster lunch, and learn and play together. llustrated by Nina Dzyvulska.

Laura Baker is the author of all sorts of books for children. She has written about feelings, farms, dinosaurs, the magic of books… and even talking onions! Her books are published with Little Tiger Press, Scholastic, Hachette and many more. Laura grew up in Canada but now lives in Penarth with her husband, two boys and big basset hound dog.

This relaxed session is aimed at 2-5 year olds. It is a free but ticketed event due to limited space available in the library.
