The Small Space Presents – The Amanda Jayne Quartet

Join the Amanda Jayne Quartet for an evening of soulful and swinging jazz standards. 
Comprising:
Australian jazz vocalist Amanda Jayne is looking forward to singing in her home town after living in Australia for almost 30 years.

During this time she was a regular performer at Dizzy’s Jazz Club in Melbourne and the surrounding jazz scene,  performing with big bands and world class Melbourne-based musicians. Her voice is repeatedly described as ‘beautiful’ and ‘soulful’ with ‘a timbre that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end’.
Joining Amanda is Small Space Guitarist regular, James Chadwick. James approaches his music in a distinctive and thoughtful way, blending ever evolving melodic lines with inventive and measured harmonic treatment. An excellent guitarist who eschews flashy technical runs for ethereal and textural sounds . He makes standard tunes sound very fresh by leaving lots of space and creating unexpected textures.
Joining James and Amanda is the excellent and returning Bill Fletcher (Double Bass) along with our stalwart drummer Greg ‘Godfather’ Evans.
