Nature Tales!

Nature Tales is a special 4 part series of events run by Green Squirrel for Penarth In Bloom. Come along and listen to fantastical stories about the world around you, learn new skills, and experience nature in amazing new ways. Activities are suitable for children ages 4-9. Each workshop will last around 1 hour.

Week 1– Queen of The Birds

21st February. Do you have a favourite bird? Come along and hear the tale of the clever Queen of the Birds and learn how to make a healthy winter treat for the birds in your garden or local park.

Week 2– Wangari’s Trees

28th February. Be inspired by the real life story of the incredible woman who planted 30 million trees, then plant your own acorns- could it be the seed of a future forest?

Week 3– The Fox and the Star

7th March. Can you name any of the constellations? Follow the adventure of the Fox and the Star then make a special stargazing craft to take home.

Week 4– Let’s get buzzing!

14th March. Make you own beeswax candle and mix up some marvellous messy seed bombs as we learn all about the bees’ needs!

Penarth in Bloom is a biannual event that celebrates the greenery of Penarth run by Penarth Town Council. The scheme provides the local community with opportunities to enjoy and experience nature.
