Queerway

QUEERWAY. A swansong for identity, and a sequin-soaked celebration of the Queer communities of Rhondda Cynon Taf.

“A clawdd is a hill or a ditch or a dyke.”

Who are the Queer people of Rhondda Cynon Taf? How do they celebrate their identities? What does Queerness mean to them?

Queerway is a new musical, which explores the lives of Queer individuals in Rhondda Cynon Taf. An original song cycle, built from a series of interviews with Queer people from, and living in the Valleys.

“Shall I call you Michael now?” “Yes please.” “Ok, no problem, and please bear with me as I make mistakes along the way, but please know…I love you anyway.”

Composed by Geraint Owen, Directed by Luke Hereford, and conceived by the company, with additional music by Branwen Munn, Queerway promises to be a soulful, feel-good view into the lives of Queer people in Wales.

Produced by Leeway Productions, supported by RCT Theatres and Wales Millennium Centre.
