RHLH / Black Mantis / Homeostasis – Immersive Live Performance
Right Hand Left Hand, Black Mantis and Homeostasis bring together three distinctive live immersive performances, transforming CULTVR’s dome into a space where music, moving image and 360° environments collide.
Right Hand Left Hand is an experimental two-piece instrumental post-rock band from Cardiff, Wales, featuring members Rhodri Viney and Andrew “Bernie” Plain. Their albums, such as Power Grab and the Welsh Music Prize-nominated Zone Rouge, were recorded and produced at Cardiff’s legendary Musicbox Studios.
Black Mantis is the immersive audiovisual project from Deri Roberts, co-founder of Slowly Rolling Camera. Developed in collaboration with 4Pi Productions, the performance combines Roberts’ cinematic, jazz-infused electronic music with bespoke 360° visuals created and art-directed by 4Pi, surrounding audiences in an evolving world of sound and image.
Homeostasis. Pierre-Luc Lecours and Ida Toninato bring together the acoustic and electronic worlds through the encounter of baritone saxophone, modular synthesizer, and real-time video generation.Influenced by the concepts of balance, ecology, and the equilibrium found in the Fibonacci sequence, they explore the intersection of nature and humanity in their second full-length performance, Homeostasis.
