We start by St James the Great Church which is a Grade II* listed church built in the 12th century.  We cross fields with sight of 2 windmills, one of which goes back to the 1700s and make our way down to Broughton and then to Monknash, passing St Mary Magdalene Church and the 14th century Plough & Harrow PH.  We make our way down Cwm Nash beside the very pretty Nant Cwm Nash river to the sea.  Climb up to the coastal path and along the cliffs to navigate away from the cliffs to Monks Wood Nature Reserve and back to Wick.
