The Welsh Independent Retail Awards have announced their finalists for this year and we’re delighted to see some of our favourite Penarth independent businesses on that list.

This will be the third year for these awards that celebrate the hard work and dedication of local independents. In their finalist announcement they stated, “the awards aim to recognise those whose entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to customer satisfaction and ethos have helped them stand out amongst the rest and put them forward to get the recognition they deserve.”

So congratulations to all the Penarth finalists: Queen B for Fashion & Accessories Retailer of the Year and Women’s Fashion Boutique of the Year, Apothecary64 for Specialist Retailer of the Year, The Bike Shop for Cycle Retailer of the Year, Pura Vida Surfriders for Independent Sports Retailer of the Year, Penarth Pet Shop for Independent Pet Supplies Store of the Year, Northern Star Bespoke Jewellery Limited and Anne Morgan Jewellery for Independent Jewellery Store of the Year, One Splendid Day and LilyPad Florist for Florist of the Year.

It’s great to see so many worthy Penarth businesses up on that list and in the running for such a coveted award. 

The winners will be announced at a black tie event on the 29th May and we wish all finalists the best of luck!
