Penarth Coronation Fireworks

Penarth is planning an exciting free event to mark the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort on Saturday 6th May, 2023.

Fireworks return to Penarth Pier at 9pm on this day of the Coronation service. The event is free and all are welcome to attend, with the fireworks being visible from Penarth Esplanade, launching over the Bristol Channel.

The Coronation event is organised by Penarth Town Council with the aid of Penarth Young Action and the event is funded with an award from the National Lottery Community Fund.

The Town Mayor of Penarth, Cllr. Laura Rochefort said: “I’m delighted that fireworks are returning to our iconic Pier and particularly pleased that we can provide a free activity for families on this historic bank holiday weekend.”

Penarth Youth Action said: “We’re very excited to be a part of this national event which connects so many communities across the country.”

The display will commence at 21:00hrs and last no longer than 20 minutes. Penarth Esplanade will remain open as normal. Further updates will be displayed on www.penarthtowncouncil.gov.uk and Town Council social media.
