Following two sold-out festive pop-ups, Penarth’s seafront sauna is returning for its first full winter season — bringing warmth, wellness and community spirit to the Esplanade from 4 December 2025 to 1 March 2026.
The wood-fired barrel sauna, run by Dawnstalkers in partnership with Hot 2 Cold Sauna Co, has become a much-loved fixture in the past for local sea swimmers and wellness enthusiasts alike. After hundreds of glowing reviews and growing demand, the team are now relaunching for an extended season, with more availability, longer opening hours, and new multi-pass options for regular users.
“Over the last two Christmas pop-ups, demand has been phenomenal,” says Grant Zehetmayr, co-founder of Dawnstalkers. “The message from our community was loud and clear: come back soon and stay for longer. So this December, we’re doing exactly that – a full winter season on the seafront. We can’t wait to warm those cold, crisp mornings and create a special place for Penarth to gather, reset, and feel good all winter long.”

The sauna will be located on Penarth seafront opposite the Yacht Club, offering stunning coastal views and the perfect setting for hot-cold therapy, which is known to boost circulation, reduce stress, and lift mood.
Alongside the bookable sessions, the much-loved Free Community Sunrise Sauna will continue every Sunday from 7–9am, hosted by the Dawnstalkers themselves. There’s no booking required — just turn up, take a sea dip, and enjoy the warmth as the sun rises. Everyone’s welcome, from first-time dippers to seasoned cold-water swimmers.
