Windsor Road and Station Approach may be well walked by us all, but there are also many great, bustling businesses just outside the town centre. View Publishing’s new headquarters are in the Cornerswell Road area of Penarth, and we share the area with some incredible businesses. 

To start off we have our home, Milkshed, a delightful, recently-renovated office space offering a perfect place for small businesses and freelancers to work from. Aside from us, there is Studio 64 Music run by Will Summers teaching piano, flute, clarinet and saxophone to a variety of ages and experience, offering bespoke lesson plans for students.

We also have our Managing Editor’s graphic design company, Candid Creative Studio. John works closely with ambitious locals, national charities, and everyone in-between, helping them build and improve their brand online and offline. 

SM Skin and Laser is our next door neighbour, run by Samantha Maunder. Samantha is an advanced skin and laser specialist, with 12 years of experience. You are guaranteed high quality treatment and friendly, professional service. Treatments include IPL hair removal, laser tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation.

Another resident of Milkshed is Sadler Recruitment. David Sadler is a highly accomplished and specialist technology recruitment professional and through his experience is able to build strong relationships with both candidates and clients to promote your best technical merits.

Step out of Milkshed, there are some great businesses along Cornerswell Road itself. Just round the corner is one of our favourite coffee shops, Griff’s Deli. I often pop into for a cappuccino and one of their unbelievably delicious brownies. This family run delicatessen and wine bar is only one year old, but has already become a Penarth favourite. It is a charming place to grab a coffee and a sandwich during the day, and it is a lovely spot to grab a glass of wine and charcuterie sharing board with friends on Thursday to Saturday evenings. You might even see the deli’s namesake Griff the dog!

Opposite Griff’s Deli is another charming new place that has popped up over the past few weeks. Trove is a beautiful little vintage and homewares shop, selling crystals, jewellery and macrame. A perfect place to find cute, elegant pieces to decorate your home.

A few doors down you’ll find Julian at Florist64, a lovely florist selling beautiful flowers for all occasions. Whether for a birthday, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, weddings or funerals, you’ll be guaranteed high quality flowers and excellent service. My personal favourites are the pink and white orchids- such a beautiful, vibrant flower, perfect for brightening up a room.

If we cross back across the road, we’ll see Apothecary64. Even before you go insider, owner Craig always has the best window displays. And when you go inside, the smell that greets you in incredible. Apothecary64 is an artisan home fragrance shop selling candles, diffusers, rooms sprays, fragrance oils and bath and body products. All of which are made in Penarth! All his products are perfect for gifts or for a little self care treat.

You’ll also find Wellwood Dentistry and Aesthetics, a friendly local family run business who will offer the very best treatment. They’re friendly service will put you at ease and all their staff are highly trained in modern dental and aesthetic techniques. Offering everything from routine examinations, dental implants, Invisalign and tooth whitening. 

Across the road, theres Floors on Floors. Another family run business that are passionate about the products and services they provide. They cover everything from wood floor sanding right through to the supply and fitting of Engineered wood floors, luxury vinyl tiles, cushioned floors, carpets and blinds. If you’re looking to give your home a makeover, this is the place to go. 

And tucked behind Floors on Floors, we have Beacon Printers. The team at Beacon Printers will go above and beyond to deliver high quality prints for a good price. Priding themselves on their excellent customer service, they’ll be sure to get you exactly what you need in a time that suits you.
