The Meaning of the Festive Season
Christmas, a magical time of year, invariably imbued with the smell of pine trees, bright lights, the taste of mince pies, the feel of a warm cozy fire, the sparkle of new fallen snow, and the uplifting sound of Christmas carols. It is also often equated with frivolity, indulgence and glamour.
Whatever your idea of Christmas might be, regardless of culture or background, one thing remains, we all get involved in the spirit of Christmas in one way or another. Whether it is by attending the annual office party, going Christmas shopping with friends, exchanging gifts with family, or hosting that very special family meal. Christmas time represents an exciting break from our daily routine and day-to-day responsibilities.
But beyond the fancy decorations, glamorous party outfits, indulgent meal, beautifully wrapped gifts, glitter and bright lights, Christmas is and always will be a time to return to core values such as joy, love, kindness and compassion. A chance to gather and reconnect with those who we love and care for.
It is a time for giving, receiving, and sharing heartfelt feelings and genuine emotions. May we never become too grown up that we stop looking up toward the stars, searching the sky on Christmas eve for a glimpse of Santa!

Are you finding the holiday season more stressful than joyful?
Finding the time to buy the Christmas presents is tricky enough…wrapping them all as best we can on the bedroom floor while hoping the children won’t suddenly burst in would turn anyone into a Grinch! As a busy mother myself, I totally get it, which is why I am launching gift wrapping workshops throughout November and December! Providing a wide selection of wrapping papers, ribbons and tags, help and tips, a festive venue, a glass of mulled wine and Christmas treats to help you rekindle that Christmas spirit!
Book now to enjoy a fun and festive evening with friends!
