The Red Herring Theatre Presents: ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’

It’s A Wonderful Life! Following the sell-out success of ‘Clue On Stage’ Penarth’s Red Herring Theatre return to the Pier Pavilion with the Christmas classic ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ A Live Radio Play, on the 20th, 21st and 22nd December.

Only eight actors bring the entire town of Bedford Falls to life in a 1940’s radio play – complete with sound effects and live music – to tell the story of George Bailey, whose troubles lead him to wish he had never been born. It’s only when the angel Clarence comes to earth to help George does he realise how blessed he has been.

The Pier Pavilion will be transformed into the studio of New York radio station RHTC on Christmas Eve 1946 for this warmhearted adaptation of the famous Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed film.

Director Alex Wilson says “We’re thrilled to be able to bring this classic film to life on stage in the run-up to Christmas and we hope to send audiences away with a big dose of festive cheer. The talented cast are having a blast bringing to life a plethora of colourful characters and we can’t wait to show the people of Penarth the fruits of our labour.”

Please don’t miss an evening of festive joy…..with a mince pie and a Christmas carol or two. Tickets £12, concessions £10 www.ticketsource.co.uk/red-herring-theatre
