Cllr Gwenda Roberts was delighted today to present Tenovus with a final cheque from her mayoral fundraising over the past year.

Tenovus Cancer Care are a Wales-based charity giving help, hope, and a voice to everyone affected by cancer. They bring treatment, expert advice and support to where it matters most.
Cllr Roberts stated that the amount raised far exceeded her expectations: “My heartfelt thanks to all the residents of Penarth who attended the coffee mornings and the concerts and who gave so generously throughout the year. A particular thank you to all the shops and businesses who took part and raised so much during ‘Pink Week’ in October. I am so grateful for all the support and very pleased that this amount can be raised by Tenovus to help them in their work in providing care and support for cancer patients and their families.”
