The award-winning Vale Resort in the Vale of Glamorgan has completed a £100,000 refurbishment of its Vale Spa, just in time for summer. The investment introduces luxury relaxation zones and an easy-to-use online booking system, making it simpler than ever for guests to plan their escape.

Highlights include The Silent Cwtch, a serene retreat with seven heated waterbeds and two smaller spaces for quiet contemplation, and the Chromatherapy Suite, which uses colour light therapy to balance body and mind. The Aromatherapy Cube offers Nu Wave beds with heat and pulse motions to ease muscles and promote circulation, paired with calming scents for full-body rejuvenation.

For a more sociable experience, the spa now features a bright relaxation lounge overlooking the pool, complete with Bali beds, loungers, and sofas – ideal for groups of friends. Treatments are complemented by a balanced lunch in the Vale Grill, or coffee and sweet treats in the Spa Chai Café.

The spa has also partnered with Elemis, offering indulgent, results – driven treatments as part of its extensive menu. Guests can now book treatments and half-day spa visits online, choosing from over 20 options, including the Elemis Expert Touch Reveal Facial and the Temple Spa Rock of the Mediterranean message.

Debbie Searle, Spa Manager, said: “This final phase has transformed the Vale Spa into one of the UK’s most versatile hotel spa destinations. With new relaxation zones and an online booking system, guests can enjoy a more personalised experience than ever before.”

The Vale Spa has been named Best Resort Spa at the World Travel Awards for eight consecutive years.
