This month, Westbourne College Sydney has ranked 1st in Sydney, Australia for Perfect IB Scores (45 Points) with its second ever cohort of students. Only 0.1% of students globally attain 45 Points.

Sydney student Samuel Stoddard has secured a place at the University of Oxford- a first for the college, which launched in January 2021.

Having shot straight to the upper echelons of Sydney’s best academic schools with its first graduating class in 2022, IB Diploma results, released January 2024, place Westbourne College Sydney at the top of the league tables for its second year of results:

• 1st for highest % of 45 Points scores, attained by only 0.1% of students globally
• Almost half (45%) of students achieve 40+ Points
• Exceptional grades from student Samuel Stoddard, 18, have secured him a place to study at the University of Oxford

From Sydney to Oxbridge

Combining strong, practical university links with real-world international experience, including access to world-leading business school INSEAD, global exchange trips, and group projects with UK, Sydney and Singapore peers, 90% of Westbourne UK graduates progress to the world’s best universities, including Oxbridge, the Russell Group and elite international equivalents.

Outstanding results from Sydney student Samuel Stoddard, 18, have secured him a place at the University of Oxford. Samuel will join the University of Oxford in September, where he will study Economics and Management at Brasenose College.

The other was the opportunity to participate in Summer@INSEAD 2022, which was an awesome experience that formed the backbone of my personal statement demonstrating my passion for learning the subjects.”

Leading the global education frontier

Since launching in January 2021, Westbourne College Sydney has successfully implemented a unique and ground-breaking STEM-focused, IB-only, co-ed model, developed in the UK since 2007 and which has seen it at the top of the UK league tables since 2015.
