Winner of St David’s Award For Bravery Set To Swim The Bristol Channel For Charity
Penarth resident, Justin Biggs, who was recently awarded the St David’s award for Bravery, the highest accolade that the Welsh government confers on its civilians, is set to swim the Bristol Channel in early June to raise awareness for a local charity, Vision 21– https://gofund.me/9a25fc15.
Justin will be swimming nearly 20km from Penarth Pier to Weston-Super-Mare following channel swimming rules.
Justin’s brother Michael uses the services of Vision 21, which have proved to be invaluable, and through the fundraising efforts hopes to ensure many more like Michael can experience the support and training provided.
Located at facilities across South East Wales, V21 supports life-changing opportunities for people with learning disabilities to realise their potential through; catering, growing, creating, learning and making initiatives.
Many of these people are social enterprises that provide training for people with learning disabilities and volunteering opportunities for others.
