Feeling brave?
I was lucky enough to be invited to review Ghost Stories at the Wales Millennium Centre, and let’s just say—I’ll be thinking about this production for years to come. I hardly knew a thing going in, but as a big fan of the supernatural and paranormal, I was very excited. And maybe just a tad nervous…
Paranormal sceptic Professor Goodman recounts three apparent hauntings—a guilt-ridden night watchman, a terrified teenage boy, and a businessman who’s about to have his first child. Each tale peels back a layer of fear with eerie precision.

It’s a work of art in the exploration of human psychology, using both the audience’s fears and doubts to swing them from a sense of security into full-on dread. Just when you think you know what’s coming, the rug disappears beneath you.
This is a full sensory experience that keeps you on edge from the moment the lights go down. No interval. No pause. Just ninety minutes of escalating tension and clever unease.

The show offers so many twists and turns, leaving you constantly unsettled and unsure who—or what—you can trust. It’s the kind of horror that doesn’t just jump out at you, it lingers.
This small cast were truly phenomenal! Dan Tetsell as Professor Goodman, David Cardy as Tony Matthews, Clive Mantle as Mike Priddle, Eddie Loodmer-Elliott as Simon Rifkind, Lloyd McDonagh as The Others, alongside Lucas Albion as ensemble and Simon Bass as understudy. This cast, along with the incredibly talented creative team, have managed to create something truly, terrifyingly magnificent.
There’s much I’d love to talk about, but as this production leans heavily into the unexpected, there are certain things best left unsaid. It’s more powerful that way. Trust me.

Despite white-knuckling the armrests of my seat, I couldn’t help but appreciate the sheer visual sensation of it all. Everything from the staging to the props, the special effects to the score—Ghost Stories is a masterclass in theatrical horror.
The show will be at the Wales Millennium Centre until 2nd August, and tickets are selling fast—so make sure to secure yours now. Are you brave enough?
