A St David’s Day Celebration in Penarth Town Centre

St David’s Day is just around the corner, a day to celebrate our wonderful country, Penarth businesses and community is coming together to celebrate. With celebrations along Windsor Road and Station Approach where you can enjoy street entertainers, live music and, of course, lots of Welsh cakes! 

The celebration with run from 11pm to 4pm on the 1st March and lots of your favourite local businesses are putting up garlands and having very special offers to mark the day. 

Foxy’s Deli are doing a cawl for lunch and offering free Welsh cakes with any drink.

Glass by Design are hosting glass making sessions where a daffodil hanger can be made for just £5. And make sure to check out the amazing products in store that are all handmade in Wales.

Rowley’s will be featuring Melin Tregwynt Woollens, Clogau Welsh Gold, and Rhiannon Welsh Gold. Some spectacular pieces made right here in Wales. 

The Pantry will have homemade Welsh cakes, Welsh lamb and mint pasty’s.

Pickford’s will be serving cawl and Welsh cakes.

Not Socks Again will be showcasing some incredible local makers and their Welsh language items.

Umpa Lumpa Sweet Shop have a tasty selection of Welsh sweets, chocolates and rock for you to buy.

Anne Morgan Jewellery will be showcasing all of their Welsh jewellery designers.

Gifts @ No.9 have a delightful St David’s day window that you have to see!

A B Snell & Son will be offering discounts on any Welsh gifts.

Griffin Books have a promotion on Welsh book and cards, along with their St David’s Day window display that is a must see.

Polka Dot Door have a wide selection of great Welsh brands.

The Deck will be having fun dressing up for the occasion and will be selling Welsh cakes in their restaurant to celebrate the day. 

Penarth Library are doing Welsh themed crafts for children between 3-4:15pm. A St David’s Day Rhyme and Sign Special, featuring Welsh Language songs and rhymes from 10-11am for children of preschool ages. Places are limited and will need be booked via Penarth Library (029 20708438) and can be made from 10am on 24th February. You can also drop in for free refreshments between 10-2:30pm and make sure to check out their display of Welsh literature.

Nourish will be offering FREE hand and arm massages using a Welsh moisturiser.
