One of Penarth’s most popular tapas bars, Bar 44 has announced their nomination for The Good Food Guide 100 Best Local Restaurant for 2024 across all their venues. 

Bar 44 Penarth is right in the heart of the Penarth high street, serving Spanish inspired food and drink. It’s the perfect place to come and enjoy with family and friends, with it’s cosy atmosphere, open plan kitchen and a hidden gem garden room at the back of the restaurant. 

Their Cardiff location is the largest of all the Bar 44’s, found opposite the Principality Stadium on Westgate Street, just a short jump from the station. The former canal warehouse is set out into four separate subterranean rooms, with an interior that creates a lively atmosphere, perfect for a fun night out with friends. Along with their other Cardiff based venues, Asador 44 and Parador 44, a boutique hotel inspired by Spain right in the heart of Cardiff city centre, all provide an incredible dining experience. 

They expressed their excitement over their achievement, “70 years The Good Food Guide has championed Britain’s best restaurants from destination dining to perfect pubs and buzzy neighbourhood bistros so we really are thrilled to have been nominated.”
