Penarth Living Streets, together with Penarth Business Group, are organising a series of meetings on 29 March and 26 April to discuss ways and ideas to help revive our valued and much-loved town centre.

Bring along warm blankets, something cushty to sit on, and spend and evening with friends and family at the Open Air Cinema on 28 and 29 April watching Elvis (not suitable for under 13s) and Top Gun Maverick on the big outdoor screen at St Donats Castle, Llantwit Major.

Energise!

Penarth Downhill Derby takes place on Saturday, 15 July. Organisers especially welcome homemade go-kart racers who’ve never taken part before. Anyone can enter, including under-16’s, as long as the kart is human powered, homemade and able to stop!

Take a long walk Penarth Nature Reserve starting from the Victorian pier to Lavernock Point, where you will discover open meadows covered in wildflowers and colourful butterflies everywhere in June as well as stunning coastal views. Don’t forget your binoculars as this is a favourite stop-over spot for migrating birds. Plenty of benches along the way for a well-deserved rest.

Challenge yourself!

Join Conquer Cardiff on 4 June 2023 at Bute Park, Cardiff, and choose from three races, 5k, 10k and, for the fittest, the half marathon.

The Mini Burn Family Adventure Race takes place on 10 June 2023 on the Penllyn Estate in Cowbridge. A great way to get fit and make new friends!

Be Supportive!

If you haven’t had a chance yet, go and visit the free exhibition taking place at National Museum Cardiff celebrating the last 100 years of BBC broadcasting in Wales! From its birth in the 1920s into a new digital age, discover how Wales has, and will continue, to contribute to the making of the BBC. Experience an opportunity to see the technology, programmes and costumes of the past through objects and archive footage. Open until 16 April 2023.
