The First XXXmas: A Very Naughty-tivity: A Review
What a show!
I was lucky enough to be invited to come and review the last of the naughty Christmas cabaret shows, The First XXXmas: A Very Naughty-tivity at the Wales Millennium Centre. The incredibly talented team are back with their unique blend of circus stunts, cheeky burlesque and stunning drag performances.
Let’s start off by saying that this is not a show for anyone under the age of 18. So leave the kids at home and come and have a sensational night where you will laugh until you cry.
I didn’t know what to expect from this show, especially as I’d never seen a show in the Weston Studio before. But the moment you enter, you know the show is going to be simply amazing. Sat at tables surrounding the platform stage, you are immersed into the performance (sometimes literally).
The performers displayed a level of talent that was unmatched. The rising drag queen star, Polly Amorous commands the stage with passion and energy, having the audience in stitches. Jenna Dyckhoff’s list of talents is endless and captured the audience’s hearts from the very beginning. Rahim El Habachi gave us a stunning performance, displaying an incredible range of depth every time he stepped on stage. A wonder to watch. Foo Foo Labelle (Stephanie Gawne)’s cheeky performance was simply brilliant, showing off her incredible burlesque skills. And the wonders of Eric McGil and Bunmi Odumosu’s aerial acrobatic performances was something I was definitely not expecting. The spectacular display of grace and talent had the audience holding their breath as they danced and spun above our heads. It was no surprise that by the end of the night, the audience was on their feet in an eruption of applause.
Experience the Nativity like you’ve never seen it before and enjoy a cheeky festive night out that will leave you wanting more! Fun, flirty and absolutely fabulous, this is a show not to be missed!
The First XXXmas: A Very Naughty-tivity will be at the Wales Millennium Centre until the 31st December but tickets are selling out fast, so make sure you get yours now. You won’t be disappointed!
