New ophthalmic director at Leckwith opticians.

Specsavers Leckwith recently welcomed a new ophthalmic director, Emily Blunt. Emily has more than 14 years of experience, having joined the business as an optical assistant in 2010. She joined a team that benefits from speaking seven different languages- Welsh, English, Polish, Punjabi, Tamil, Urdu and Italian. The team’s multilingual skills help them provide an array of eye and ear health services to the diverse local community.

Emily says: “Our experienced team is here to help- if your eyes aren’t feeling right, an optician should always be your first port of call.”

Later this year, the store will be refurbished, including the installation of an additional test room.

Local director take the helm in Queen Street

Specsavers Queen Street has recently welcomed two new local directors, Clare Corcoran and Amy Naish, who have a combined 40-plus years of experience alone- joining retail director James Deavall.

Clare, optometrist director, stepped down from her longstanding position in Brecon and made the move to join the Queen Street store as a partner, alongside her established role in Llanishen. Meanwhile, Amy, CLO partner, has spent 20 years working between Specsavers stores and support offices.

The director join a dedicated team with more than 300 years of experience, combined. Lisa Robinson, who is part of the store’s management team, has worked at the store’s management team, has worked at the store for 36 years. She has seen two store moves, plus the opening of four other Cardiff stores and the development of hearcare services. Her team describe her as one of the best frame stylists you could hope to have and someone who is brilliant at supporting their team.
