A Local Running Group has called for fellow runners to join them tonight as they embark on a 5k run. 

Roath Park Runners, a group of people with some years of experience running, will be meeting at 6pm this evening at the Community Centre situated on Pen-Y-Lan road.  

Paul Scanlon, the moderator of the group, said: “On Wednesday, we do a 5K. There is no time timescales to achieve this and if you don’t wish to do the full 5K, that’s fine. 

“If you wish to walk it, great! If you mix it up and walk and jog, fantastic!” 

It is expected that Sunday Sessions with distances covering 5K, 10K and 10 Miles will be held soon. 

Paul added: “I’m running my 5th marathon is October, the London Marathon… with Adam and Nic from our group. 

“This is why I can’t start the Sunday sessions until after the marathon.”
